Sometimes an impromptu order in with a friend is in order. Rather than delay, iβm going to send you these two cocktails for your weekend. Barefoot upon arrival, walking in the grass, and talking is our style. We had some spicy Kalamata olives and Himalayan salt potato chips while the Indian food was on its way. I still love Masala in Lexington, Kentucky best, but I never met an Indian dish I donβt like. Decided to forego the wine and whip up a few cocktails before a movie watch in the attic. All and all a pretty chill and excellent Thursday. Here are the recipes!
Bees Knees
1.5 oz dry gin or Hendricks (I used Castle & Key Roots of Ruin Dry Gin)
1.5 teaspoons honey (I used local honey)
1.5 teaspoons lemon juice
2 dashes lavender bitters
Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add ingredients Shake until shaker is frosted over and too cold to hold. Strain or double strain. (Youβre technically supposed to double strain anything with citrus juice). Your call.
Saturn
3/4 oz passion fruit liqueur (I used Giffard)
3/4 oz lemon juice
1/4 oz orgeat syrup
1/4 oz falernum
1/4 oz simple syrup
1 1/4 oz Hendricks or London Dry gin (I used Castle & Key Roots of Ruin Dry Gin)
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add ingredients. Shake until itβs frosted over and too cold to hold. Strain. Or double strain. Your call.
