White Dragon Cocktail
Try this tequila based version of a white lady cocktail with The Mischief Maker
Jim Meehan author of the “PDT Cocktail Book” and “Meehan’s Bartender Manual,” and founder of Please Don’t Tell, created this cocktail based on the orange notes in the tequila Casa Dragones blanco tequila. I have to say the tequila is delicious. It compliments the Cointreau and orange peel well. The White Dragon is a version of a White Lady cocktail, a gin based cocktail from 1919 with gin, lemon juice, and Cointreau. Try it, perhaps in moderation 😅
Ingredients
1 3/4 ounces Casa Dragones blanco tequila
3/4 ounce Cointreau
3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1 egg white
Garnish: orange twist
Steps
Add the blanco tequila, Cointreau, lemon juice and egg white to a shaker and dry shake (without ice) for at least 15 seconds.
Fill shaker with ice and shake again until well-chilled.
Double-strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Twist a swath of orange peel over the drink and discard.
